Players Profiles
Ludo Roy:.Position:Goalie Ludo is by far one of Saints most valuable players at present, certainly getting us out of jail on quite a few occassions, the big Frenchman had attracted interest from Motherwell though the board had made it clear that he had a price tag on him which cooled off the interest.
player rating:5/5
Barry 'Trigger'McGlaughlin Position:Defence Barry is Saints longest serving player at present and is our captain as of this season, which is none other than what he has deserved. Trigger as he is known to the fans, has been a fantastic teamleader and had also attracted interest from other clubs when we were relegated.player rating 5/5
Christopher Wreh Position: Striker: A shock signing last month for Saints. The former Arsenal player arrived at Love Street on a 1 year contract after having spells also in France and Saudi Arabia, he has also been capped 35 imes for his native Liberia where he is a legend next to his cousin George Weah.Big Chris' lightning speed and trickery will be a huge bonus to the Saints attack who have failed to impress upfront.
Derek 'Borris' Scrimgour Position: Goalie Scrimmy is number two choice to Ludo since Hendrie took over. A kind of shakey keeper who can on some occassions put in some good performances then on others be crowd enemy number one as he does tend to make alot of mistakes.
player rating 2/5
Paul Rudden Position:Defence Small Paul
plays at the centre of defence. A useful player  who always looks to be up for a game and tries his best at all times .
Chris 'Gonzo' Kerr Position: Left Back Chris returned to action near the end of our SPL venture. After suffering a horrific leg injury from a Ross Tokely challenge at the start of our champ season, Gonzo made his return as if he had not left the team putting on some impressive displays.Surges forward from his wing back position show a threat to other teams
player rating 4/5
Scott ' Big Jaap' Walker Position: Defence Was seen as one of transfers of the season by TH when he signed 25 yr old Scott from East Stirling in the smmer of 99 for free. A Kilmarnock youth player who also had a spell in Singapore has been super in defence and can always pop up at corners to score. A great left shot on him, though only being one footed sometimes runs him into trouble. player rating 4/5
Jamie McGowan Position: Defence Jamie spent a long spell of his career at Falkirk where he captained his side to their famous Scottish Cup Final runner's up against Kilmarnock. A signing by Billy Davies, Jamie had a pretty good attendance in his first season at Motherwell though he started to drift out of the team.  The end of the 99-00 season he was released on a free. tom Hendrie stepped in and handed him a trial against Blackpool where hedidn't make the best of starts, but has proved to be a valuable signing player rating 4/5
Ian 'Rosco' Ross Position: Left Back/Midfield
Undoubtely one of the best talents at Love Street. One of Toms first signings of the championship season. The former Motherwell star, had been on the eyes of TH since seen him at schoolboy level at the school he taught at.
player rating 5/5
Ian Nicholson Position :Right Back Nicky has always been a favourite among the saints faithful, his neat touches and build up from the back has proved to be effective.player rating 4/5
Ricky Gillies Position: Attacking/Centre Midfield Four year s ago when Ricky moved to Aberdeen, Saints fans thought that the team had lost their best youth policy player since Paul Lambert. A £400,000 move to the Granite city proved to be a nigtmare for the player who had high hopes of being a future Scotland cap. Three games left of Saints championship season, Tom Hendrie stepped in with a loan move for the golden boy who made his return in the game against Livvy at  Almondvale (2-1 saints). 2 and a half month later he signed for £15000 on a three year contract.player rating 5/5
Alex 'Toastie' Burns Position: Attacking Midfield
Hendrie's first signing this season was Toastie from Livvy for around £15000. The former Motherwell, and Raith player had his most impressive season at Raith last season where he scored 14 goals from midfield, these actions were taking notice by title winning Livvy who signed him in the closing weeks of their winning season.Burns lasted 5 month then moved to the buds where he scored on his debut against Thistle at Firhill.
Scott MacKenzie Position: Midfield The former Falkirk captain was a signing made in the summer of 2000. Saints beat off competoition from other top first division clubs to catch the signature of Scott.A player who had a slow start to his first season, mainly because he was out of position. This season has been rock solid and has proved to be a good signing
Shuggie Murray Position: Midfield The one time U21 Scotland cap came through the youth ranks at St.Mirren, and made his debut in the black and white stripes in the year of 1997-98 season against Airdrie. That same seaon at the age of 18 he scored his most important goal of his life at Forthbank on the 2nd last day of the season to keep Saints in the first division away from the drop.
Jose Quitongo Position: Striker The wee Angolan was made an enemy two days before signing for Saints. He played as a trialist for M*rton aginst St Mirren in a 1-1 draw , where he was the scorer of a cacking goal. A brilliant individual player who is a wizard at dribbling with the ball and taking on many players on darting runs. A great player who has a great welcome at Love Street by the fans.
Mark' Boom Boom'Yardley Position: Striker Always a target for the boo boys because of his weight, the big man is always a threat in front of goal when he is on form. The heavyweight striker scored 19 goals on our championship season and has to get some credit for that. Will always give 100% no matter what anyone says.
Steven McGarry Position: Striker The Paisley born striker is a true Saint at heart. Steven brings a much needed forward approach to the attack with his good holdup of the ball and good surges forward.
Tam ' Bruno' Brown Position: Midfeld Tom was signed from Kilmarnock as part of deal which involved the £175 000 sell on of Martin Baker. The player who shows a real passion for the game tends to get sent off quite alot due to his short fuse though i like his attitude because he always gives 110%.
Paul' Dynamite' McKnight Position: Striker Former Rangers youth player McKnight joined Saints last March before the transfer deadline. A deal which was lined up due to Rangers playing their U21 games at Love Street, Tom Hendrie seen an Obvious talent. The N.Irish international scored on his debut after coming off of the bench against Falkirk. The 3rd last game of the season on the 91st minute @ Somerset Park, Paul volleyed into the top corner which got us promoted to the SPL, unfortunateley, during that game he picked up a lengthy injury which kept him out for months. A pacey player who i think will scores goals if given a run in the team..

Cumnock Rangers Juniors
Brian McGinty Position: Striker. Brian is the latest new recruit to the Saints signing on Halloween of 2001. He played in the same youth side at Rangers as Paul McKnight and Ian Nicholson. When Mark Hately was in charge at Hull, he had spotted the talents of the rising star, though his unimpressive goalscoring resulted in a move away to Ireland. A return to Scotland at Junior level with Cumnock is where Tom Hendrie had spotted the player to have refound his form. With an impressive goalscoring ratio of at least a goal per game, and scoring on his second match as a trialist for Saints against Rangers in an U21 game made TH sign him up on a 2 year contract
